This Privacy Policy describes how Jyotish Guru ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

1. Summary

Jyotish Guru is a fully offline Vedic astrology app. All astrological calculations and your personal birth data are processed and stored entirely on your device. We do not operate any servers, do not collect your data, and do not transmit your personal information to any backend system we control.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary for the app to function.

Important  None of the above data is ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party. It never leaves your device.

2b. Information Collected Automatically (by Third-Party SDKs)

The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect:

• Advertising ID (can be reset or opted out in Android settings)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• IP address and approximate location
• App interaction data for ad relevance

This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We do not have access to or control over this data.

3. Permissions Used

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED	To re-schedule your daily notification after the device restarts
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM	To deliver your daily horoscope notification at the exact time you select
VIBRATE	To vibrate the device when a notification arrives

4. How We Use Information

The information you enter (birth details, Rashi, preferences) is used solely to:

• Generate and display your Kundli (birth chart)
• Calculate and show Panchang, Muhurat, and Prashna Kundli results
• Personalise your daily horoscope and notifications
• Remember your language and theme preferences

We do not use this information for any other purpose.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data. The only third-party involvement is:

• Google AdMob — for serving advertisements. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Services — required for AdMob and app distribution.

We may disclose information if required by law, but since we do not collect or store your data on any server, there is no data we could produce.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

All your data (Kundli charts, preferences) is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

• Deleting individual saved Kundlis from within the app
• Clearing app data via Android Settings → Apps → Jyotish Guru → Storage → Clear Data
• Uninstalling the app (all local data is permanently removed)

Since we do not hold your data on any server, no additional deletion request to us is necessary.

7. Children's Privacy

Jyotish Guru is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps. The app does not contain content inappropriate for general audiences.

8. Advertising and Your Choices

The app displays ads via Google AdMob. You can opt out of personalised advertising by:

• Opening Android Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+)
• Or enabling Opt out of Ads Personalisation on older Android versions

This does not remove ads from the app but makes them non-personalised.

9. Security

Since all your personal data remains on your device, it is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (screen lock, encryption). We do not transmit your data over the internet, so there is no risk of a server-side data breach affecting your personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
